What a great episode—Dalek. Had the whole family, including my 9 year old and my 6 year old glued to the set to watch it.
Eccleston was really good in it (I like the spit on his lip during one of the scenes). The Time War thing is pretty interesting, still not sure if that ties in with the 8th Doctor Books or the 8th Doctor Audios. Interesting line about him being the last one left and the Doctor replying “I didn’t have a choice”
Can’t help but compare it to Big Finish Jubilee, of which some of this story is based on. Seeing Rose talk to the Dalek, I couldn’t help remembering Evelyn talking to the same single Dalek.
Good stuff. 6 down….

It blows my mind, that I can flip through the Metro (free subway paper) and matter-a-factly see variations on this ad week after week (after years of seeing the CBC publicity machine grind out endless adverts for crap like the Beachcombers revival, or tired fare like Air Farce, it’s finally working for good!). Or that I can catch snippets of conversation on Doctor Who in the elevator up to work in the morning (one which switched fluidly from a conversation about Corrie)

Has anybody been saving the different versions of the ad? I had no idea it had been changing each week since “Rose” until I saw the ad for “Dalek” yesterday.

There has been different ads on Tuesday since “Aliens of London”. Before that, they were printing the ‘lady-killer’ ad on Tuesdays.
