another reason I love The Long Game
There are two scripts commonly used in the year 200 000. One of the scripts looks a bit like Chinese (I’ve turned it over, the BBC site got it upside down):
while the other appears to be an alphabet or syllabary, looking a little like Hebrew.
Here’s another example.
Now that’s attention to detail! In the old show, I can only remember Time and Rani using a made-up script. Probably the only thing Time and Rani and The Long Game have in common.

I Love the detail in the Sets and the relationships that is happening in this show. It’s hugely interesting to see the character interplay. The only thing I’m not sure of is…is it a “kids” show or a “family” show anymore? some of the content is on the suggestive side e.g: Rose and Mickey going off to a hotel or Captain jack flirting with all beings that he’s sexually compatible with or Even the almost naked Captain with the line “your ratings just went up ladies. These are not “Family show” things in North America surely! Some things go over kids heads but
not nude bums!!
But maybe I’ve been living in a paper bag.Maybe a swinging, aggressive bi-sexual male is just what the old ratings need. Bowie did it after all and he’s done tons of kids shows. That being said my family loves it and they hated the old seies with a passion and would leave the room when it came on.Ahh well I care not as long as that blue box keeps appearing and disappearing. Guess I’ll have to be a bit more 51st century in my family thinking.

I’d still give an edge to Time and the Rani.

Hi Willis, my recent experiences in the UK can confirm without a doubt that this new show *is* a family show enjoyed by viewers of many ages.
