The trenchcoat is back, baby! This is sweet!

Those fans that insist the Doctor must wear a tie should be happy! smile

I like it - looks modern & more traditional at the same time. It would have been a mistake for it to look similar to Eccleston’s outfit, so I’m glad its a departure from that.

I like Billie’s tan as well!

Also just noticed the Peter Davison-esque sneakers! Awesome!

Once again, the Doctor’s outfit doesn’t look like a “costume” at all. I think he looks absolutely fab! I love that the Doctor is wearing a trenchcoat as well. And definitely his look is different than the Ninth Doctor’s look.

HE’S WEARING MY BLOODY COAT! I HAVE A COAT JUST LIKE THAT!
Some may have seen me wear it, and affectionately call it “The Doctor Who” coat, though no Doctor had yet worn such a thing!
Blast, now people will think I’m an anorak…

YES!!!

Now that is the way the Doctor dresses. Glad his sense of un-style is back.

Trenchcoat? I know know one fanfic writer who is happy. He only missed out by two Doctors predicting when it would happen.

Not bad!
A bit ‘too’ brown and drab tho.
Needs a punch of colour. May be a different colour tie, or shoes (yes, red tennis shoes!)
Eccelston’s outfit was a bit too dark and did not suit the personality in it.
Tennant’s outfit doesn’t fit proper either. Looks like he went back to the Tardis closet and snagged what was hanging around. Possibly doctor#1’s outfit.
Needs a bit of fine tuning but other than that, looks ok. Lets hope they change it every know and then. Pertwee and Baker changed their outfits every now and then. Made for a bit of interest.
I think Tennant will be a better Doctor Who than Eccelston.
Cheers

I wonder if they’ll vary it from time to time:  a different tie, similiar suits…

Looks great!

I hope he does vary his outfit like a normal person.

Brilliant!

In the Doctor’s own words “You never know what you’re going to get.” I think we got a taste of what’s to come and I’m thrilled.

What I mean by that is that it looks like the show is going to bring in more and more aspects of the old series. We now have a Doctor with an outfit (no disrespect to no. 9) that looks RIGHT on the Doctor, but it’s also apparent that we’re going to be meeting actual main characters from the past (Sarah Jane Smith for starters). I can only hope that Lethbridge Stewart gets a visit.

The ONLY thing that I’d like to see added to Tennant’s outfit is something on the lapel of his coat. Like Tom’s ducks or Colin’s cat. That and maybe that one of those coat pockets has a packet of jelly babies in it. Wouldn’t it be great to see a scene in which Sarah recognizes him by the jelly babies?

it’s a bit of a shame to see no. 9’s casual style gone so soon (he was the 1st doctor who dressed like me), but somehow, the feel is right.  i also hope that the colour scheme is somewhat interchangable—brown is good, but day in day out?

The costumes have come a long way since the days of the Aztec!

And just when I was getting used to the leather jacket!

If he can just button his jacket properly and comb his hair, he’ll be fine (though perhaps these details bring a schlubby Second Doctor quality). Thumbs up on the long brown coat too.

But on to more important things: Harriet Jones is coming back! I said to a friend not long ago that I hope she becomes the new show’s equivalent of the Brigadier, and it seems my wish has been granted.

Is it wierd that I’m scared for the new season? scared/excited I don’t know. 10 looks good…I was so crushing on 9 though.

I don’t like anything about it, including choosing Tennant as a replacement.  He’s much too young looking - by the time we get to the last regeneration, the Doctor will be played by a ten year old boy!  I loved the series that just ended and I can remember the first two doctors from the time I lived in England but I won’t be watching any more of them.
