Pyramid Power

What did you think of tonight’s episode of Doctor Who The Pyramid at the End of the World? Faultless or Vaultless (or both)? How many of you were expecting to see Sutekh walk out of that Pyramid?  I am guessing the same number that were expecting to see Bad Wolf written in graffiti on the side of the Pyramid.

Granted, we appear to be in the middle of (at least) a three-part story - the second time that Capaldi will have a story roughly the equivalent to an old six-part story from the classic series days. So it may be that you might be reserving full judgment until the whole story plays out, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t give your thoughts on this episode. And if you consent to giving us your comments, all you have to do is enter them in the comments section below, and it doesn’t have to be given out of love. Fear and strategy are okay with us too.

I have been attempting to give season 10 the benefit of the doubt as this was a supposed reboot of sorts for Doctor Who under the aegis of Steven Moffat. Just when episodes seem to take on a serious and thought provoking tone, this is suddenly nullified by an abundance of comedic moments.I at times feel as if the series doesn’t know whether it wants to be sci-fi adventure, sci-fi dramedy or comedy with a few sci-fi elements. I haven’t given up hope yet.
