Has anybody else noticed that CBC is scheduled to start showing season 1 of Torchwood and season 4 of DW late night Monday to Friday at 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. respectively. So coincidentally CBC and Space will be showing the same DW episodes for 4 nights this week (well, the same except for the CBC edits).
Is this some weird residual clause in the CBC’s old broadcast rights, or (shudder!) has CBC regained the rights from Space?

@Bob Don’t even think about it! It’s weird, though, that the CBC and Space would both be allowed to air the same episodes. I’m sure it doesn’t mean anything. If Space had lost the broadcast rights to Season 6 or Torchwood Miracle Day I’m sure we’d have heard by now. That said, I won’t watch them on the CBC if it ever does happen, full stop.

Now, I doubt that Space have lost their rights to DW, but if DW did return to CBC, why ever wouldn’t you watch it there?
Yes, the CBC did some editing and yes their promotion for seasons 2-4 was lacking, but “new Who” is still “new Who” isn’t it?
